I found this beautiful fabric while I was in Portland Oregon two years ago. It is silk and the small print was perfect for Gene. I only bought a small piece because it was expensive. Last year I was in Portland again. I must say I love fabric shopping in Portland. The Mill End Store still had the same fabric, so I bought a little bit more. Now I am kicking myself that I didn't buy more of it. I only had enough fabric for two dresses.
Originally, I was going to make sheaths, but then I was inspired by a Silkstone Barbie outfit. I discovered after I was done, that this dress won't fit the AD Genes. I didn't realize that the Wu Genes are a little smaller in the bust.
